THE WELSH DRAGON SERIES RULES and CONDITIONS
		(updated June 2010)
		GENERAL
	1.1	Horses shall be nominated with payments due as per schedule of payments.  A list of nominees will appear on the website www.tregarontrotting.com and in the BHRC Calendar.
	1.2	The entries will be split into heats of no more than ten runners, gate positions to be drawn.
	1.3	Horses will NOT be segregated on the basis of owner/trainer/driver
	1.4	Heat winners and the appropriate placed horses (dependant on number of heats) will qualify for the final (maximum ten runners).
	1.5	All races will be run over a distance of one mile and 50 yds (timed over one mile).
	1.6	Gate position in the final will be determined as follows:  Heat winners will be drawn first.  The first name drawn will be given a choice of gate position, the second name drawn will be given the second choice and so forth.  Horses placed 2nd in their heat will be drawn on the same principle as above.  If applicable, horses placed 3rd in their heat will be drawn in the same way.
	1.7	All payments must be posted before the deadline date – you are advised to obtain a “proof of posting” (free of charge from the post office) at the time of posting and retain this in case of  dispute.
	1.8	Where a payment is missed, the entry will have recourse through the late entry system.
	1.9	All owners holding nominations will be notified should there be any amendments or alterations to the rules and conditions.
	1.1	Any changes in ownership must be notified to the administrator as per payment schedule.
	1.11	The committee will have the right to change the date or venue where a postponement is necessary.
	1.12	There will be no refund of payments unless the race is completely cancelled.
	1.13	In any dispute the decision of the promoter, Tregaron Trotting Club Ltd., will be final.
		LITTLE WELSH DRAGON / LITTLE WELSH DRAGONESS
	2.1	Little Welsh DRAGON is open to THREE year old COLTS/GELDINGS only
	2.2	Little Welsh DRAGONESS is open to THREE year old FILLIES only
	2.3	All appropriate payments must have been completed as per horse’s payment schedule
	2.4	All runners must have race qualified by 1st August in the year of the race under BHRC rules
	2.5	The purse will be allocated as follows:  Heats 40% and Final 60%
		JUNIOR WELSH DRAGON / JUNIOR WELSH DRAGON
	3.1	Junior Welsh DRAGON is open to TWO year old COLTS/GLEDINGS only
	3.2	Junior Welsh DRAGONESS is open to TWO year old FILLIES only
	3.3	All appropriate payments must have been completed as per horse’s payment schedule
	3.4	All runners must have race qualified under BHRC rules by close of entries of the race
	3.5	The race will be run on the Thursday of the August Festival meeting.  In the event of heats being required, the heats will be run on Thursday and the final on Saturday as BHRC rules do not permit 2 yos to run twice in one day
	3.6	Purse will be allocated as follows: Heats 40% and Final 60%
		SENIOR WELSH DRAGON
	4.1	This race is for FOUR year olds only
	4.2	Horses eligible to enter this race will be those whose schedule of payment was completed up to the March of their 3 year old year, or a subsequent supplemented payment in that year.  A comprehensive list of eligible horses will appear on  www.tregarontrotting.com in January of each year and in the BHRC Calendar.
	4.3	All runners must have race qualified by under BHRC rules by close of entries of the race
	4.4	Race will be run at the Tregaron May Spring Meeting
	4.5	Purse will be allocated as follows: Heats 40% and Final 60%
		THE HOME DRAGON
	5.1	This race is for FOUR year olds only.  I mile Preferred FFA.
	5.2	Race will be run at the Tregaron August Festival meeting
	5.3	Horses eligible to enter this race will be those that were eligible for the SENIOR DRAGON in May and must remain in the same ownership as they were when they were nominated as foals.
	5.4	All runners must have race qualified by under BHRC rules by close of entries of the race
	5.5	Race will be run at the Tregaron August Festival Meeting
	5.6	Purse will be allocated as follows: Heats 40% and Final 60%
