The top 150 graded horses (minimum
Grade 3) are eligible for the 3 major finals.
The top 33% handicap horses entered, plus ties,
as per the handicap returns
received from BHRC office on Monday 24th August will be eligible to
race in the Welsh Classic on Saturday.
The next 33% will be eligible to
race in the Strata Florida Handicap on
Friday. The balance will race in the Cors Caron Cup on Thurday.

** To set a One mile WORLD RECORD on a ½ mile grass
track. A panel will be invited to
select 10 Horses, who in their opinion are capable of such a feat. The names of the 10 horses will be put on
the TTC website and the public will be invited to vote on who they would like
to see in the race. The 6 horses with
the highest number of votes on Wed 19th August will be eligible to
run in this historic race. In addition
to the prize money, a £5000 bonus
purse will be on offer to any horses going under 2 mins.

THE 2009 CHALLENGE
Any horse winning ANY race at the Tregaron
Spring Meeting in 2009 and ALSO wins a FEATURE RACE at the August Festival
(ie CORS CARON CUP, STRATA FLORIDA HANDICAP,
LITTLE WELSH DRAGON/DRAGONESS or THE WELSH CLASSIC)
will receive a share of the £2009
THE STARS DRAGON
CHALLENGE – Kindly sponsored by John Perfect
Any horse winning the first two legs of the
Dragon series i.e. Junior Welsh Dragon and the Little Welsh Dragon will receive a £500 bonus. If a horse
subsequently goes on to win the Senior Dragon he/she will receive a further
£500 bonus.
PLEASE NOTE: Following last years cancellation, alternative arrangements will be made should it be necessary to cancel again this year. All entries will stand, but the entry fees and prize money could be reduced. This is a condition of entry.
The Committee reserve the
right to alter the above conditions, should circumstances dictate.
